Kazumi Terada one of the co-founders of NY de Volunteer. She was also the key facilitator for the first 9/11 Memorial Floating Lantern Ceremony, which were held annually between 2002-2011. She was born in Japan, grew up in Texas, and has been living in New York City since 1992. She is a graduate of Parsons School of Design, with a degree in architecture. Most of her career has been in the internet industry, working for web agencies, global e-commerce sites, and internet advertising agencies. She is currently a Senior Product Designer at McKinsey & Company, working on projects related to user research and UX. She was a bilingual Japanese/English design project manager at Panasonic Design Center of America between 2008-2013. She was the president and co-founder of Fifth Line Group, LLC, a visual communication company, between 2004-2008. She has also been a treasurer and board member of another 501(c)3 organization, Mahayogi Yoga Mission, since 2000.
